About us
How we're working to bring integrated behavioral health care strategies to clinics across Oklahoma.
Who we are
The Oklahoma Integrated Care Resource Center is a training and technical assistance hub that equips primary care and specialty clinics across Oklahoma to screen for and treat patients’ mental health and substance use conditions. Our mission is to improve Oklahomans’ health and wellbeing by empowering providers and clinics to integrate care for mental health and substance use challenges into physical health care settings.
The Center is powered by Healthy Minds Policy Initiative, a non-partisan, non-profit organization focused on expanding access to behavioral health care in Oklahoma.
The Center’s 2026 launch and initial efforts are made possible by a $5.57 million Legacy Grant from the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET).
To improve Oklahomans' health and wellbeing by empowering providers and clinics to integrate care for mental health and substance use challenges into physical health care settings.
Oklahomans live longer, healthier lives because their mental and physical health is treated together, holistically.
What we do
Our resources are for health care settings of all kinds, including primary care and other specialty care settings. We offer varying levels of support and technical assistance designed to meet clinics' individual needs and readiness.
Intensive training and implementation support for the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM)
- Over the Center’s first three years, we will provide intensive technical assistance and training to 9 selected clinics interested in implementing the CoCM
- Clinics who are selected to participate in Track 1 receive funding and in-clinic support for long-term, sustainable Collaborative Care implementation
Right-sized support and training for integrated care solutions
- We offer less intensive but structured technical assistance and support for adding or enhancing integrated care practices at 50 clinics statewide
- This includes online, asynchronous training modules and a readiness tool for measurement-informed care, monthly office hours with implementation experts, and other educational opportunities from national integrated care leaders
- This is a flexible option to meet clinics where they are — at no cost to the clinic
Free online resources, tools, and trainings
- We offer a free, publicly accessible resource library, designed for use by physicians, nursing staff, behavioral health providers, clinic leaders, and billing and administrative professionals
- Find tools, trainings, evidence, and opportunities for continuing education
